Free Time
Container Free Time
- Standard: Usually 7 days of free container use at the destination port
- Extension requests: Possible in special cases, but not guaranteed
- Overdue charges: Approximately USD 20–80 per day (varies by carrier)
Free Storage
- Standard: 3–7 days
- Overdue: Charged at terminal rates, usually accruing daily
Common Additional Charges in Australia
- AQIS quarantine fee: Approximately AUD 50–200 (depends on cargo type)
- GST (Goods and Services Tax): 10% of cargo value
- CFS unpack fee: For LCL cargo
- Cartage: Terminal → final destination
